I would really like to visit Russia. Mainly because it is the only country where a successful worker's revolution has been made. About Russia's history I know quite a bit. For example, between 1918 and 1921, workers holded power through their own organizations -the soviets. It was the period of the so called war communism in the context of a three-year-civil-war. One of the things I am looking forward to do where I finally get to Russia, is to visit St Petersburg, the first place in the world where soviets ever emerged (in the year 1905). Eventhough I picture it as a nice place to visit, Russia doesn't seem to be a great place to live, work or study. Fundamentally, because today its development is ruled by a certain type of capitalism that is extremely thuggish, a capitalism where exploitation mixes with rampant robbery, and violence is the common thing every day. That's it!
